Non-discounted Bundles of Goods

Posted by Grumpy

This atrocious event occurs where the consumer (you) is enticed to purchase 2 or more items as a bundle… but the vendor is offering zero discount.

I’ve noticed two major groups doing this lately; amazon.com and movie theatres. Amazon has their “better together” malarkey where you can buy two books as a group… for exactly the same price you would pay to order them separately. Movie theatres are now offering meal packs (tm, McDonald’s) where you can get a large soda and large popcorn for the price of… a large popcorn and large soda ordered separately.

Fuck that. If the theatre wants to make their customer service more efficient and cut time in line, they can offer me an incentive to choose their meal pack. Otherwise, I’m ordering the products separately just to spite those bitches.
