Oh, to hell with it

September 15th, 2006

The GOP/Busheviks are apparently giving up all pretenses of being law abiding or accepting a Bill of Rights and are now attempting to redefine the Common Article III of the Geneva Conventions (you know, the one that prohibits cruel treatment, torture and the like. The one that was used to find Gitmo unconstitutional in Hamdan).

Well, as part of this “let’s redefine torture to be A-OK!” strategery the Busheviks attempted to pressure the military lawyers to agree to the redefinition. So they could brag about it as authorized. It didn’t go over so well.

But during today’s White House press conference, a reporter cited comments by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) — a former JAG and an opponent of the Bush’s detainee policies — claiming that the White House had placed extreme pressure on the military lawyers to sign a statement, and that the lawyers had refused to sign the initial statement crafted for them by the White House

You know, I really don’t think there is an upper limit to the amount of evil in these people.

And let us not forget, not only is it unethical for the civilian government attempt to coop the military for political purposes and it is against the military credo as well. The JAGs who resisted the coercion for more than 5 hours before breaking the will of the civilain overlord wannabes are all heroes and patriots. These dictatorial wannabe jacknapes in the White House merely think they are patriots.

Update: the Dems are now calling for an investigation into the coercion of the JAGs

The reality is the White House knows they are guilty of war crimes, so they are doing their everything in their power to change the law so Bush, Cheney and their cronies can’t be prosecuted!

Same with the coporate corruption scandals that’s why we have no accountability in Washington!

If the Dems manage to some how bust the Bush election fraud machine and retake Congress, there will be a plethora of investigations on the Hill and in the White House.

Consider this pre-emptive actions aka CYA!
